The ringed python is about 150 cm in length. The scales on the head are large, and the hot pockets are only distributed on 3-4 lower lip scales. The scales on the body are very flat, and although the body color of the young snake is black, it also has a distinct orange ring pattern. The black part will spread as it grows, and after a year, the whole body will almost turn black.
