Honduran woodgrain turtles can be raised in deep water. For a single adult Honduran woodgrain turtle, we recommend a minimum of 30 gallons for males and 75 gallons for females tank (can be better than 90 gallons). This provides an adequate swimming area and helps the filter maintain good water quality.

Honduras

The Honduran woodgrain turtle spends most of its time on land, And they mostly forage on land, which is similar to box turtles, so it is the same as sun turtles. Although they are not large in size, they are lively and have a large appetite. Forage, vegetables, fruits and fish are their staple foods. They will devour any food they can eat. Crickets and mealworms can also be eaten, so there is no problem with picky eaters.
