The hibernating water turtle has certain requirements on the temperature. Usually, the temperature should be lowered to about 10°C. Do not exceed this temperature, otherwise the water turtle may wake up. Do not disturb it during hibernation, and change the water once a week to prevent its health from deteriorating when the water quality deteriorates.

Two weeks before preparing for hibernation, the eye-spot can be given to the eye-spotted turtle. The turtle stopped eating, making it hungry and easier to hibernate. When the temperature exceeds 15°C, the eye-spotted water turtle will wake up, and it will start feeding when it exceeds 20°C.
