The giraffe is a deep-water turtle, so it needs to be raised in deep water. However, when the giraffe is in the hatchling stage, it can be raised in shallow water, just a little above the height of its back, so as to prevent them from accidentally drowning in deep water.

When long-necked turtles are 10 cm in length, or even adults, they need to be cultured in deep water, and the water level can be between 2 and 3 times the height of their back shell.
