How to distinguish male and female tortoises, take a look at the following points.
1. The rounder body is the female Annan tortoise, and the longer one is the male Annan tortoise.
2. The short tail is the female Annan tortoise, and the long tail is the male Annan tortoise.
3. The pattern on the abdomen of the male tortoise is sparse, while the pattern on the abdomen of the female is dense.

4. Female tortoises have short and wide carapaces, flat plastrons without depressions in the center. The tail is thin and short, the base of the tail is thin, and the cloaca is closer to the rear edge of the plastron. The carapace of male turtles is long and narrow, the center of the plastron is slightly inward, the tail is thick and long, the base of the tail is thick, and the cloaca is far from the rear edge of the plastron.
