There are several things you need to pay attention to in order to raise your Texas map turtle well. Next, I will explain it to you one by one.
Environmental aspects. The arrangement of the tank is best to imitate the natural system. The Texas map turtle has high water quality requirements, but it is not recommended to change the water frequently, and a filter can be installed. If you are outdoors, try to provide land or lawn for calcium supplementation, but it is not easy to be exposed to the sun for a long time.
Diet. The Texas map turtle is one of the omnivorous species of turtles, feeding on grasshoppers, blood worms, dragonfly larvae, small fish, shrimp, and a few plants. However, feeding shellfish such as snails is not recommended.
