The flame tortoise hibernates. The hibernation period of the flame tortoise is a special time. Before entering them into hibernation, it is best to do the preparatory work. The first thing to do is to prepare a suitable mattress. When they hibernate, neither too much water nor too dry, you can place some straw and cotton pads in the container to keep them moist. Then there's feeding, don't feed too much before hibernation. The water temperature can be kept at about 8 degrees all the time. Finally, check them for parasites.

The flame turtle will end its hibernation state when the temperature slowly rises. Under normal circumstances, they will end their hibernation in March or April. However, the specific time is not certain and is affected by the surrounding environment. Only when the temperature rises to a certain range can they wake up from hibernation.
