Symptoms: The diseased part of the Natal foldback tortoise can be seen to the naked eye with festering and whitish skin.

Treatment: Rub iodine two to three times a day, return to the water after 15 minutes of rubbing, get more sunlight, and pay attention to the water quality. Severely rotten Natal foldback tortoises will lose their nails, and the affected area will expand and have a slightly rancid odor. Dry rearing of the Natal foldback tortoise, wipe the affected area with iodophor to disinfect and then apply chlortetracycline ointment. Soak in water for half an hour every day to feed and bask in the sun.

Prevention: Pay more attention to the water quality, change the water frequently, and bask in the sun more.
