1. Red neck disease: The throat and neck of the spotted mud turtle are swollen and reddened, muscle edema, unresponsive, slow movement, and loss of appetite.

Treatment: Povidone-iodine can be used for smearing, and chloramphenicol, oxytetracycline and other antibiotics can be used for severely ill spotted mud turtles.

2. Internal parasites: the spotted mud turtle is thin and has poor appetite , less food intake. A small amount of worms may be present in the excrement.
