The round-spotted viper is a venomous viper with a sturdy body and a short tail. The ratio of the middle part of the body to the neck part is very different. The middle part of the body is round and thick, and the ratio to the neck part is almost one-third. The head is triangular, the nostrils are large, and the body has round spots. The round-spotted viper is about 1.5 meters long and weighs more than 1.5 kilograms.

The color of the round-spotted viper is similar to that of the general mountain viper, but the round-spotted viper is closer to olive. The back is textured with staggered circular markings, the back is mainly grey, and the abdomen has irregular black spots.
