The head of the big-eyed oblique-scale snake is oval, and the head and neck are clearly distinguished The eyes are large and the snout is blunt, generally 500-1000mm in length, and the color spots on the back of the body vary greatly, with orange, light blue, brown-red, brown-black patterns. There are also a considerable number of melanized individuals, dark gray from the back of the head to the end of the tail, without other markings.
