Cross-mountain wind has anterior groove teeth, followed by 3 small teeth, the back of the body is dark brown, the back of the neck has a ∧-shaped yellow-white markings, no spectacled spots; the back of the trunk and tail There are narrow white horizontal stripes bordered by black.

The lower jaw of Guoshanfeng is khaki, and the ventral surface of the body is gray-brown with black lines streaks. The markings of juvenile snakes are different from those of adults, mainly yellow and white stripes on the back of the snout and in front of the eyes, and black body with more than 35 light yellow or white stripes.
