The skinny green snake is mostly active during the day and often inhabits the bushes , long tail, body and tail wrapped around branches, move quickly on the tree, but move very slowly on the ground, belong to the arboreal snake. This species often goes into a state of motionless when placed on a plate.

When frightened, the green thin snake erects its neck, throws its front body in a curved shape, widens its neck, and spit out a white tongue to deter, but does not actively attack. It bites attackers when roughed up.
