Knife-backed musk turtles only know people who feed them regularly. Turtles are low-IQ creatures, they don't have such a high IQ to distinguish themselves from others. Saber-backed musk turtles are very timid, and in their cognition, there are only edible and inedible, safe and dangerous. If the owner of the house regularly feeds, bathes, cleans, plays with, and interacts with the knife-backed musk turtle, it will gradually become familiar with the owner and reduce the owner from the dangerous level to the safe level.

The temperament of the saber-backed musk turtle is also kinder than that of ordinary pet turtles. Whether it is interacting with the owner or mixing with other pets, there will be no aggression. But be careful not to irritate the musk turtles, if they are startled, they will release a pungent liquid. These liquids evaporate quickly and can keep most predators away in the wild.
