The ringed map turtle hibernates. After the frost in October, the ringed map turtles entered hibernation one after another. In November, when the water temperature is 13 ℃, the turtle enters hibernation and is slow to respond to touch, vibration and stimulation. In January of the following year, when the water temperature is below 10 ℃, the turtle enters deep hibernation without excretion. When hibernating, the head of the glans is retracted into the shell, and the limbs and tail are not retracted into the shell. By mid-April of the following year, when the temperature rose to 18 °C, it began to wake up gradually, often opening its eyes and crawling slightly, and a few turtles ate slightly.

1. Hibernate in water, keep the water clean, and let the turtle hibernate in shallow water. Can. In fact, this hibernation is very safe, and the turtle will not suffer from respiratory diseases such as colds. (But this method is only suitable for the southern region, and it is also suitable for lazy people)
2. Hibernate in a cabinet. In a clean box or cabinet, clear a place. Just put the turtle in it. Remember to open the cabinet or box frequently to ventilate the turtle. There is no need to fill the box. (Remember to replenish water, the cabinet is relatively dry)
3. Hibernate in the carton, which is the most common. Pierce multiple holes in the sides of shoe boxes or appropriately sized boxes. Put a piece of cloth or thick paper (toilet paper) on the bottom of the box, put the turtle in it, and simply cover it with a paper ball. (The turtle will soon enter the state)
