Juvenile leopard tortoises cannot tell the difference between males and females, until 26cm leopard tortoises can tell the difference. Male and female leopard tortoises are judged by looking at the belly carapace and tail. The judgment method is as follows:

1、The degree of opening and closing of the tail of the abdominal carapace, the large opening and closing is for male leopard tortoises, and the small opening and closing is for female leopard tortoises.

2. Female leopard tortoises with flat abdominal carapaces, male leopards with obvious depressions in the abdominal carapace Striped tortoise.

3. Male leopard tortoises have longer tails than females.
