The concave tortoise needs to hibernate. When the temperature is lower than 18°C, the concave tortoise will gradually enter the state of hibernation. However, about the hibernation of the concave tortoise, we need to pay attention to the following points:

1. It takes about 4-6 weeks from feeding to digestion to complete excretion. Therefore, the number of feedings should be slowly reduced 6 weeks before hibernation.

2. Before hibernation, give the tortoises to drink more water and supplement enough moisture. Sufficient water should be added to the tortoise to continue hibernation. Acute dehydration can also cause the tortoise to die suddenly. This often occurs when the temperature warms up and the hibernation is about to end.
