The Yellow River soft-shell turtle belongs to the Yellow River group of Chinese soft-shelled turtle, a species of soft-shelled turtle native to China. It has three obvious characteristics. The carapace is yellow-green, the plastron is yellow, and the turtle oil is also yellow. Therefore, the Yellow River turtle is also called Three yellow turtles, and the Yellow River turtles, like most turtles, need to hibernate.

In order to make the Yellow River soft-shelled turtle better hibernate, when feeding the Yellow River soft-shelled turtle, the subsoil should be water-retaining Loam or clay with good and poor permeability is better, and the upper layer of the subsoil is covered with a mixture of silt and fine sand with a thickness of 15-30 cm, which is conducive to the habitat and hibernation of the Yellow River soft-shelled turtle.
