Zhou's box turtle lives in mountainous areas, mountain streams and small rivers. Under artificial feeding conditions, Zhou's box turtle likes to live in water, and can eat normally when the ambient temperature is above 20 ℃. At 15-19°C, move less, sometimes eat and sometimes stop eating. Stop eating below 14°C and hibernate at around 10°C. When the ambient temperature is above 5°C, Zhou's box turtle can hibernate normally.
