The number of Zhou's box turtle is rare, and it is a relatively rare species in my country. The carapace of Zhou's box turtle is black or soil black, oval, with or without central ridges, no lateral edges, and front edge of carapace. Not jagged. We can correctly distinguish the male and female of Zhou's box turtle from the following points.

1. The back of male Zhou's box turtle is arched Tall, pointed at the top, slightly pointed at the rear edge of the plastron, long tail, cloacal foramen far from the base of the tail. The back of the female Zhou's box turtle is less arched, but the top is blunt, the rear edge of the plastron is slightly semicircular, the tail is thick and short, and the cloaca hole is closer to the base of the tail.

2. Turn the abdomen of the Zhou's closed-shell turtle to the sky, touch the turtle's limbs and head into the human shell with your hands, and straighten the tail. If it is a male Zhou's box turtle, it can be seen that the junction is turned out from the cloaca hole, and it is in the shape of a black umbrella. The female Zhou's box turtle only discharges bubbles or thin mucus from the cloaca.
