The Black Devil has requirements for the water temperature to survive. Generally, it is enough to keep the temperature between 23-27 ℃, which can keep the black devil active. When raising black devil juveniles, the temperature should be controlled between 26-28 ℃, which can improve the survival probability of black devil juveniles. When feeding, the temperature difference between day and night water temperature should not be greater than 4 ℃.

Black devils prefer animal bait. During feeding, live bait feeds such as water earthworms, red worms and brine shrimp can be fed. Some artificial feeds can be additionally fed to supplement nutrition.
