Traffic fish is a small ornamental fish. After adulthood, their body length is generally between 3-4cm, and the width of the widest part of the fish's body is about 1cm. If grown in a particularly suitable environment, their body length may also reach 5cm, but very few fish can grow to 5cm. If domesticated, their body length is generally about 3cm.

When cultivating traffic light fish, dried tap water can be used. Distilled water can also be used if available. The water temperature should be kept between 22-26 °C, and the breeding density should not be too high. If possible, install a filter in the tank. This can help keep the water body clean, and it can also ensure that there is sufficient oxygen in the water, which is more beneficial to the growth of the fish.
