Elephant trunk fish is generally difficult to raise. When raising it, you can choose water from hot lakes and rivers, but natural water contains bacteria and parasites, so it needs to be treated. Only then can it be used to raise elephant trunk fish. The suitable water temperature for elephant trunk fish is 24-29 ℃.

The elephant trunk fish does not have high requirements for water quality and prefers neutral and weakly acidic soft water. When rearing at home, you need to use a large aquarium for rearing, and try to arrange the light in the environment as dark as possible. Since there are occasional fights between adult elephantfish, some aquatic plants can be planted to isolate them.
