After spawning, the chrysanthemum butterfly should take out the aquatic plants with the eggs in time, otherwise the broodstock will eat the eggs. When the egg grass is placed in other containers, it must not surface to avoid the sun damage the eggs and affect the hatching rate. In addition, do not change the water or stir, otherwise it will affect the development of the eggs, and even the fish will not come out. After the female fish takes out the spawning grass each time they spawn, another aquatic plant should be put in for the broodstock to continue spawning.
The newly hatched fry are mostly adsorbed on the aquatic plants, Do not disturb it, so as not to fall into the bottom of the water and die due to lack of oxygen. The larvae can be fed with water fleas and algae 1 week after they emerge from the membrane. Start changing the water when the larvae are more than 3 cm tall, but not all. The newly hatched larvae may not be fed bait for 3 days, and rely on their own nutrition to survive. After 3 days, the larvae can start feeding and can be fed with cooked egg yolks. Before feeding, wrap the cooked egg yolk with gauze and squeeze it into the water where the larvae are dense.
One egg yolk can feed about 2000--3000 larvae, feeding once every morning. Since the newly hatched larvae are weak and unable to resist hunger, they should be fed regularly and cultivated carefully.
