The eagle ray is a warm-water near-bottom-dwelling small and medium-sized fish that is good at swimming. Distributed in the South China Sea, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The tail is slender like a whip, about 3 times the length of the body disc. No tail spines. Body dark brown, with white spots on the back of the body disc. There are many dark brown stripes on the tail.
