The main food of Lan's hanging is seaweed and algae-eating fish. The general body shape is about 18cm, and the body shape tends to be oval. It is a breeding method of group spawning type. The whole fish is yellow, with many brown worms on the sides and head. It grows in coral reef areas and some coastal areas, and generally lives in groups.

The body of the adult fish is uniformly yellow, with many brown worms on the body and head, the pelvic fins are dark brown with white margins, the pectoral fins are pale yellow and transparent, the remaining fins are the same color as the body, and the tail spine is brown.
