The short-nosed unicorn can grow up to a maximum length of 50cm in the aquarium. Its body color ranges from blue-green to olive-green, with blue-edged dorsal and caudal fins. When the short snout unicorn hangs up to 30 cm, a horn will appear, located at the back of the head, and the length will not exceed the mouth.

Short-nose unicorns often live in groups on the reef Cruising in regional waters, especially on reef slopes and outer edges of reefs. Juveniles feed on algae, while adults feed on plankton.
