Lucky fish can breed, but it is almost impossible to breed lucky fish in a tank. Kissing doesn't mean they have a good relationship, it's a fight. But it doesn't have to be fights between males and males, there are fights between males and females too. It is difficult to distinguish male and female fortune-telling. After sexual maturity, it can be judged by the dorsal and anal fins. The ends of the male dorsal and anal fins are slightly pointed, and the females are rounder. The big belly of the fish may be caused by obesity due to better food and the accumulation of body fat, or it may be an early sign of ascites.

The sexual maturity of Lucky Fish is more than 8 months. The water temperature during the breeding season is 27-29°C. After the first spawning, the second spawning can be done about 15 to 20 days after the first spawning. This is extremely rare among other fish, and the first spawning will generally fail. A second time will do. Lucky fish lays 500-1000 eggs per year. Use your mouth to clear the nest when breeding.
