1. Disinfection of fish ponds and tanks: Regular cleaning and disinfection are required. For disinfection, 2ppm potassium permanganate solution can be used to soak the fish tank or fish pond of the golden koi for about 5 minutes, then wash it with water, and soak it in water for a long time before use.

2. Water disinfection: Whether it is the water in the aquarium or the fish pond, after a period of feeding golden koi, a lot of organic matter and suspended particles will accumulate, causing the deterioration of water quality and the increase of pathogens. Therefore, water bodies must be regularly disinfected, especially during fish disease seasons. The commonly used bactericidal and disinfectant is bleaching powder (1ppm), and the insecticide is trichlorfon (0.2ppm).

3. Fish disinfection: The newly purchased golden koi may carry some bacteria and parasites. If they are not removed in time, they will infect other healthy fish. Therefore, new fish must be isolated in a medicated bath before they can be put into aquaculture water. The specific method is: medicated bath with 5% salt water for 5 to 10 minutes. When taking a medicated bath, always pay attention to the state of the koi. If there is a floating head, difficulty breathing, suffocation, loss of balance, shock, etc., the medicated bath should be stopped immediately and the fish should be returned to the pool water.
