The lifespan of a betta is generally about 3 years, with the longest being 12 years. Generally, the male betta will live longer than the female betta, the female betta can live for 2-3 years, and the male betta is about 3-5 years. Of course, this is not absolute, because the lifespan of bettas is related to its living environment, the management methods of breeders, etc., so there are also long-lived or shorter-lived bettas. Then, to prolong the life of betta fish, pay attention to the following four points in daily feeding.

1. Water quality is the key to raising bettas, and bettas generally like it Weak acid water quality, if you want to keep betta fish well, you need to use something called Terminalia Leaf. Put 1-2 pieces of Terminalia leaves in the water, so that the water will show a weak acid state and the color will be light yellow. Although the water quality of this color does not look very good, it is very beneficial to the betta.
2. Keep the betta in a fighting state at all times, usually no more than 2 days. Let the betta look in the mirror or look at other bettas. The purpose of this is to keep the bettas in the fighting state. A fighting state is like the truth that we should keep exercising every day, otherwise the physique of the fighting fish will slowly decline.
3. Change the water once a week, but this water change cannot be completely replaced. Generally, a hose is used to remove some dirty things at the bottom of the fish tank, including fish excrement and food residues. Even pumping once a day, and then changing the water within 1/3 every week.
4. Generally, it is enough to feed the betta fish. Do not feed some live insects or the like, because it is easy to cause gastrointestinal problems of the betta fish.
