The chinchilla is easier to keep, because the chinchilla is more resistant to disease. Raising chinchillas requires less investment, low cost, small space and a wide range of feed sources. The main food of chinchilla is grass, aquatic plants, vegetables, carrots, branches, leaves and so on. Each animal needs to be supplemented with 20-30 grams of concentrate every day, and the annual feeding cost of each animal is 10-15 yuan.
Not only that, chinchillas have strong reproductive ability, each pair produces 2~4 litters per year , 5 to 9 per litter, and many more than 10. One pair of chinchillas only covers an area of 1 square meter, and one person can raise 100 pairs.
