Compared to other rabbits, water rabbits are relatively large, but water rabbits have smaller ears than other rabbits. The head and back of the water rabbit are dark brown, rusty brown or black. The neck, belly and tail are white. The eye area is surrounded by a cinnamon ring. Usually male water rabbits are also slightly larger than females.
