Buchner's vole is relatively docile and easy to raise. Its hair is thick and hard, its tail is short, its front feet have claws, its back hair is sandy yellow, the base of its needle hair is dark brown, its tip is gray-yellow, and its belly hair is light yellow.

In general, Bryde's vole is mostly active during the day, does not hibernate, and is herbivorous. Breeds 2-3 litters in 1 year, with 2-15 litters per litter, and mainly inhabits the Stipa grassland in the northern temperate zone.
