Why do cats need to be spayed or not?

2021-10-25 / 574 Read

Most of the reasons for cats to be spayed are that cats have a relatively short gestation period, two pregnancies a year, and the cat's estrus period will last until the age of 11. Pregnancy year after year can make the cat's health worse and even shorten the cat's lifespan. Failure to do sterilization may affect their reproductive system, and are prone to diseases such as pyometra and ovarian cysts. Therefore, if the owner does not intend to breed the cat, the cat can be sterilized before the first estrus, thereby reducing the risk of the cat suffering from the above diseases and prolonging the cat's lifespan.

Why

It has always been possible for cats to be neutered or not more controversial. In general, the advantages of spaying cats outweigh the disadvantages. Although everyone regards cats as family members, cats do not think rationally like humans after all, and mating is only out of animal instinct. It may not necessarily be a good thing for cats to be completely humanitarian.
