Second, morphological characteristics

The pink chain snake is about 1 meter in length, its head is wide and flat, the head and neck are clearly demarcated, the snout is round and wide, and the pupil is round.

The back of the pink chain snake is dark brown with multiple pink horizontal spots. Both ends of the transverse spots bifurcate on the side of the body and extend to the ventral scales. The bifurcation and ventral surface are gray-white with scattered black-brown spots, and there is a pink arc-shaped spot on the back of the head.  

III. Living habits

The pink chain snake is an oviparous animal, mainly living in the piedmont plains, rivers and streams or near rice fields. The altitude ranges from 80 to 580 meters.

Pink snakes generally hide in tree holes during the day and go out in the evening. They like cold and avoid heat. If the temperature is too high, they will hide in the water to cool down. They prey normally at 15 degrees Celsius. They mainly eat frogs (the staple food tree). frogs, marsh frogs, frogs, frogs, but do not eat tiger frogs), also eat other snakes.
