II. Morphological characteristics

IV. Living habits

Black and white tamarind monkeys live in groups, with about 2-15 members in a group. Black and white tamarind monkeys are omnivorous, eating fruits, flowers, nectar, insects, spiders, small vertebrates and bird eggs.

Only the dominant female marmosets in the group reproduce, while the reproduction of other female marmosets is suppressed. The gestation period is about 140-170 days, and the mother usually gives birth to two cubs per litter.
