II. Appearance characteristics

The Mahe squirrel monkey is slender, with a body length of about 20cm-40cm, a tail length of up to 42cm, and a weight of about 750g-1000g.

The Mahe Squirrel Monkey has a bright and colorful body, its mouth and snout are black, the eye rim, ear edge, bridge of the nose, cheeks, throat and both sides of the neck are white, and the top of the head is gray to Black; back, forelegs, hands, and feet are red or yellow, and belly is light gray.
