Second, eating habits
The structure of the digestive system of Anglo Marten is completely different from that of cats and dogs. Their digestive tracts are very short, and for this reason, owners should never let them eat cat or dog food for long periods of time. Mink is a pure carnivore. In its staple food, the proportion of meat should account for more than 90%, and it must be fresh and there should be no corrupt parts. In addition, providing them with a source of clean water that they can drink at any time is also a key point, and must not be ignored.
Third. Temperature
Angelo marten is very sensitive to heat, 25 degrees Celsius is their comfortable temperature, and the maximum temperature cannot exceed 30 degrees Celsius. High temperatures can cause them to suffer from heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and even death. Owners should pay attention to try to avoid placing the cage or nest of the mink in the exhaust vent or the place where the sun can be directly exposed, and do not place it near the air conditioner or heater.
For new breeders, we recommend buying adult Anglo ferrets, about two years old is the ideal choice, because raising young ferrets is more challenging, and training it not to bite or grab things , getting used to using the toilet, etc. are not easy tasks~
