On April 1, 480 boxes of dry Tenebrio pet feed that passed the inspection and quarantine of Linfen Customs were shipped from Linfen to South Africa. This is the first time that pet feed products in our province have been exported to Africa.

The export enterprise Fenxi Kangruilai Biotechnology Trading Co., Ltd. adopts the model of company + base (cooperative) + farmers, and drives more than 300 local farmers to engage in Tenebrio breeding, which can achieve an annual output of 2,000 dry Tenebrio products. ton, helping more than 200 poverty-stricken households in the county to increase their income by more than 6 million yuan, and the average income of each household increased by more than 30,000 yuan.

In order to help expand the export of dried Tenebrio molitor, a special agricultural product under its jurisdiction, Linfen Customs has taken various measures to strengthen supervision and service, and ensure the quality control of good products and the safety control of exports. Regularly carry out supervision and management, urge enterprises to implement the main responsibility for quality and safety, formulate self-inspection and self-control plans, and improve self-inspection and self-control capabilities; timely publicize and implement the standard requirements of exporting countries, and guide enterprises to search from key links such as process flow, raw material acceptance, and high-temperature sterilization. Risk points, carry out risk analysis and check product hidden dangers. Since Fenxi County dried Tenebrio molitor was exported to the United Kingdom in 2018, it has successively developed international markets such as the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. At present, the county's annual export volume of dried Tenebrio molitor has increased from the initial 14.9 tons to more than 470 tons.
