Recently, the Forest Police Brigade of Zhenyuan County Public Security Bureau successfully rescued a national first-level key protected wild animal.
At about 17:00 on March 28, 2022, the Forest Police Station of Zhenyuan County Public Security Bureau received an order from 110, saying that a group of people found a special-shaped '' Big Bird, suspected of being a national first-class protected wild animal, the Great Bustard, requested the police.

After receiving the alarm, the Forestry Police Station immediately assigned a special person to drive to Yangou Village, Tunzi Town for disposal. After arriving at the scene, under the guidance of the policeman Liu Moumou (resident of Ruhe West Road, Chengguan Town, Zhenyuan County), the police found a gray-brown wild bird at the junction of Yangou Village and Beishigusi River Beach in Tunzi Town. The right leg has an old fracture, and the left crotch epidermis is obviously bruised. He is unable to take off and move, but his wings are intact, his hearing and vision are sharp, and his mental state is good. The police and the police then asked the Forest Branch of the Qingyang City Public Security Bureau to urgently contact the Qingyang City Wildlife Protection and Management Station of Longdong University overnight for rescue and treatment. After on-site identification by experts and professors of Longdong University, the bird was determined to be a national first-level priority. The protected wild bustard, a female chick, is cold-tolerant and a large ground-dwelling bird belonging to the family Bustardidae of the order Craneformes.

Reminder from the police: If the general public encounters a situation where wild animals are injured or left alone, they should not rescue them without permission or blindly release them. They should contact the public security police or wildlife protection departments in time to ensure that the animals receive scientific and effective rescue. Protecting animals is the duty of every citizen. Those who illegally hunt or kill state-protected wild animals, or illegally purchase, transport, or sell state-protected wild animals and their products will be severely cracked down in accordance with the law.
