The car was carrying her three pet dogs - 13-year-old Kaka, 5-year-old Lisa and Yaoyao.

On March 30, Ms. Yi's community became a closed-off area, and her family began home isolation monitoring. But on the first day of home isolation, Ms. Yi lost sleep.

If we go to the centralized isolation, what will they do? Ms. Yi said, the three dogs are her family, and she can't leave without worrying about them. Since my daughter was born, they have been accompanying and guarding my daughter, and I am also responsible for them.

Ms. Yi quickly learned about the Pet Cabin public welfare project in Changsha. Afterwards, she joined the WeChat group of Juzijia Adorable Pet Nursery, which provided venue support for Changsha's Pet Cabin, through the announcement issued by Changsha's local animal protection organization Changsha Adoption Day.

The volunteers told her that they could come to help her bring three pet dogs to Orange's house and take care of them for free until the pet owners were released from quarantine. As soon as you receive a community quarantine notice, you can contact us immediately, the volunteer said.

In the next few days, new pet owners joined the group, and one message after another was sent to the group. Ms. Yi said that many pet owners are worried that they will be quarantined and their pets will not be taken care of. Everyone encourages and comforts each other in the group, and volunteers will help us to ease our emotions. I see that many cats and dogs have been successfully taken to the 'pet cabin', so I feel a lot more at ease.

On March 31, when Ms. Yi received a call requiring centralized isolation, she immediately posted a message for help in the group. Soon, volunteers came to her community. After learning about Ms. Yi's situation, the community arranged for the staff who were delivering vegetables to each household to help lead the pets downstairs.

After disinfecting the pets and pet supplies, the volunteers successfully took the three dogs to the Pet Cabin.

The person in charge of the Changsha Adoption Day said that at the end of March, with the change of the epidemic situation in Changsha, many pet owners in their volunteer group have expressed concern. On March 27, they saw that Changsha had started the construction of a square cabin hospital, and immediately decided to start the Pet Fang Cabin public welfare program.

We announced the contact information on the official account of 'Changsha Adoption Day' on the same day, so that more pet-raising families in need can get the news, and we also contacted two foster care centers as 'fangcang' We have started to recruit volunteers. Hu Yiming said that with the help and guidance of professional medical staff and veterinarians, they also developed a safe and professional pick-up procedure, and volunteers also took protective measures when they came to the door.

Deputy director of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine of Hunan Agricultural University School of Veterinary Medicine is one of the doctors who provides professional advice and medical insurance for the pet shelter. He said that after learning of the launch of the Pet Cabin public welfare project in Changsha, he contacted Hu Yiming as soon as possible, hoping to provide them with professional advice.

I gave them some guidance and suggestions on the disinfection operation and centralized management of pick-up and drop-off pets. In Yang Lingchen's view, the establishment of pet cabins is conducive to professional care of pets. It can also avoid the risk of epidemic transmission.

Since the launch of the Pet Cabin public welfare project in Changsha, as of April 9, a total of more than 1,017 volunteers have signed up. After layers of screening, 205 volunteers were finally selected to participate. into the project. They have successfully helped hundreds of pets from 32 families to be accommodated in the square cabin.

Juzi's Adorable Pet Nursery has an all-day live broadcast. When Ms. Yi was in quarantine at the hotel, she would check three dogs on her phone every day. We watch the live broadcast every day, and even when we take a nap, we fall asleep listening to the barking of the dog. Soon, Ms. Yi, who was released from isolation, could see Kaka, Lisa, and Yaoyao and take them home.
