A woman in the UK has married her pet cat after a ruthless landlord forced her to give up her beloved cat, the Metropolitan Daily reported. Deborah Hodge, 49, has changed rooms several times because her landlord doesn't like pets. She lost her job last month, and if she can't pay her next rent, she could be evicted and will go through the pain of finding housing again, especially since it's hard to find a landlord who doesn't hate pets. Then Deborah figured out a way, if she married the cat India, the future landlord would understand that she and the pet had to stay together. So Deborah, dressed in a tuxedo, tied the knot with India in a folk ceremony hosted by her friend.

In a park in southeast London, the five-year-old cat, dressed in a gold wedding dress, meows her marriage vows in front of Deborah's family and friends. Deborah said: It is the most important existence in my life, second only to my two children. In this way I want to let future landlords know that we are one and cannot be separated under any circumstances, I would rather Sleeping on the street doesn’t want to lose it.”

Deborah was forced to give up her two beloved huskies, Siri and Starshine, when her landlord previously threatened to let her go if she didn’t give up their pets live. After moving to her current home five years ago, her landlord ordered her to give up the cat, Jamal, or evict her.

Deborah said: My heart was broken. Pets have become a part of our family and it was too hard for me to give them up. Deborah begged her landlord to allow her to have another one Cat, after countless emails, the landlord finally gave in. In 2017, India got her wish to join the small family of Deborah and her two children as a beloved pet.
