American Mini Lop Rabbit, also commonly known as Binny lop, small lop or pygmy lop.
History: This breed is a large rabbit with loose physique, large size, fast growth and resistance to rough feeding. Due to its large skeleton, the weight of fattening rabbits for slaughtering is preferably over 2.5 kg. Since the species was introduced into our province last year, it has been favored by breeders and has been promoted and raised in Conghua and Zengcheng areas of our province. It was bred by crossing the French ram rabbit and the Belgian rabbit. It is an excellent variety suitable for farming in rural areas. Saibei rabbits have three coat colors: brown, white and yellow. There are two types of physical appearance, one is that one ear is upright and the other is drooping, and the other is that both ears are drooping, similar to a ram rabbit. It has been observed that under the same feeding and management conditions, the incidence rate of rabbits is lower and the survival rate is higher than other breeds. According to the observation of the same strain infection of rabbits with Pasteurella multocida virulent strain C5-3, the resistance of Saibei rabbits is higher than that of other breeds.
