The larvae of the Thai black fowling spider are very similar to those of the metallic blue, and are also grayish black. Feeding, like other Haplopelma species, requires providing them with a moist and thick substrate for digging and nesting. The suitable temperature is 26-28°C, and the suitable humidity is 85%. It is recommended to use moist peat, coconut brick and clay as the substrate. They live on the ground in rainforests, but are also found in relatively drier grasslands, so they can tolerate slightly lower humidity, even in small larvae. The larvae eat a lot and grow quickly, burrowing and building nests to protect themselves.

Theoretically, they should be very abundant in the origin, but it is strange that this species is almost never seen in the pet tarantula market in the mainland. Similarly, few people breed them, and the occasional CB's juveniles appear, the price will be relatively high.
