It has a noble temperament, is extremely loyal to its owner, and will keep a certain distance from strangers. 【Size, Proportion and Structure】The male Rhodesian Ridgeback is 63.5-68.6 cm tall and weighs about 38.56 kg. The bitch is 61.0-66.0 cm tall and weighs about 31.75 kg. 【Head】Moderate in length, the anterior coracoid is flat from between the eyes to the back of the nose. Eyes - round, responsive, intelligent, somewhat similar in colour and fur, eyes glowing and shining. Ears - Close to the head, sometimes erect, within a circle centered at the base of the ear. Jaw - Powerful, long, deep, lips close to the chin, nose black or brown. Black noses correspond to black eyes, and brown noses correspond to amber eyes. 【Neck, Topline and Trunk】The neck is strong without saggy sagging skin. The chest is broad and probing, with a large area. Ribs are moderately expanded, but not cylindrical, so they do not affect running speed. The back is strong and powerful, the loin is muscular and slightly arched. The tail is thick at the base, tapering to the tip without roughness. The tail should not be too high or too low, and may be slightly curved upwards, but never curled. 【Forequarters】The shoulder blades are clearly inclined and muscular, and the running speed is fast. Elbows set close to body, front legs straight, strong and of dense bone. The toes are compact, arched, the pads are round, strong, and elastic, and there are hairs between the toes for protection. Degenerate toes can be excised. 【Hindquarters】The hind legs are well muscled and well developed, with low hocks. 【Back hair】short, dense, lustrous, neither wooly nor silky. 【Coat color】Light wheat to red wheat. A little white on the chest and toes is allowed, but too much white on the belly and toes is not acceptable. 【Ridge Back】The distinctive feature of this breed is that there is a ridge on the back, and the ridge is formed by the reverse growth of the dorsal hair. The ridge line is clear and distinct, tapering gradually and radially. The ridge starts behind the shoulders and continues between the two protruding points on the buttocks, the two protruding points (crowns) are opposite each other, and the lower edge of the protruding point exceeds 1/3 of the ridge line.
