Czech Wolfdog Breed Introduction

In 1955 a biological experiment took place at CSSR. i.e. a German sheepdog and a Korbach Wolf hybrid. Experiments have shown that the offspring of a male dog and a female wolf are the same as the offspring of a female dog and a male wolf, and can be artificially raised. This mating in most cases possesses the genetic conditions for reproductive continuation. In 1965, the decision to breed this new variety was made. This will combine the excellent qualities of wolves and dogs, the breeding of which is carried out under the strict control of the government, through constant re-breeding with wolves, and in 1982 the Czechoslovakian Hound was recognized by the CSSR's Public Committee of Breeding Associations, recognized as It is a nationally endemic breed and was recognized as a purebred dog by the organization in 1984. Since then, it has no longer been blooded with wolves and has become an independent dog breed.

Czech wolfdog was born from the Carpathian Demobai wolf Breed with German Shepherd parents.
