History Date to 1107, there are two breeds of dogs: Cardigan and Pembroke. The Pembroke is more famous than the Cardigan. Based on the fox-like head of a dog brought over by workers in Flanders, it is believed that this dog is closely related to the ancestors of the sharp-billed dog. However, some people believe that it was produced by the mating of the Swedish short-legged long-bodied dog and the native dog, which was introduced to Wales with the Welsh-Swedish trade. Cardigans, like Pembrokes, are good cattle breeds. Due to its lightness as a swallow and agile movements, this dog can escape at a very fast speed when a domestic animal whose heel is bitten is angry. In 1934, the United Kingdom officially recognized as two different breeds of Cardigan and Pembroke.
