History Native to the Mediterranean region, probably descended from the Barbbit (also known as the Balbo) and the Water Spaniel. The dog was formerly known as the Bichon Frise, which was later shortened to the Bichon Frise. The Bichon Frise was once divided into 4 categories: the Maltese Bichon Frise, the Bologna Bichon Frise, the Bichon Frise, and the Bichon Tenerife. The dog first lived on the Canary Islands (Tene-riffe), and then moved from one continent to another with Spanish sailors. In the 13th century, Italian sailors discovered this puppy and brought them to the European continent, thus becoming pets of the noble class. Introduced to France by Francis I in 1515, the dog was in its heyday from 1574 to 1589. The lifelike demeanor of the Bichon Frise can be seen in several elegant paintings of the famous Spanish painter. At the end of the 18th century, it declined for a time, and it had to live on the streets with the entertainers. But after the 20th century, the Bichon Frise flourished again and swept the world. The dog was officially introduced to the United States in 1956, recognized in 1972, and debuted at the London Crufts Show in 1980. |

Character Cheerful, lively, smart, brave, alert, emotional, with strong adaptability. It is faithful to its owner, but also has a strong personality. Gentle and disciplined, sensitive, playful, and loving. A cheerful attitude is characteristic of this breed, and it is easy to be satisfied with the little things. Although small in stature, it is quite individual, lively in nature, and loves freedom, which can bring endless fun to the owner. Its soft, curly coat needs to be trimmed to reveal its beautiful dark eyes and rounded body and head features. When the pose is still, it looks like a child's snow-white, fluffy toy; when in motion, it looks like a squirt of marshmallows. To keep it in its best shape, the poodle needs daily grooming, regular professional trimming, and of course, regular bathing and blow-drying to keep it fluffy. The Bichon Frise has high requirements on the living environment and often needs to be accompanied by someone, which requires special attention. |
